Perspectives

I have researched for many years the complication of heterotopic ossification in the head injury and spinal cord injury populations. In our more recent studies of only y four treatments of shock wave therapy we have produced excellent results in the head injured population, reducing pain and allowing more freedom of range of motion. We are now going to move on to the spinal cord injured population to assess their responses to ESWT.
