What is it about?
Hot corrosion is very important for ceramic coatings, which will be used in corrosion environment. A double rare-earth oxides co-doped SrZrO3 coatings was prepared by APS, and its corrosion behavior in molten sulphate–vanadate salt was investigated in detail.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that the phase transformation and chemical interaction are the main corrosion mechanisms for deterioration of the SYYZ and SYGZ coatings.
