What is it about?

This paper introduces a building archaeology research database (BARD) which is accessible through the internet. It is designed round a two A4 page tick-box sheet that provides a simple yet comprehensive system for building recording. The system also helps building recorders assign likely dates of construction based on stylistic evidence.
