Why is it important?
People have been dying in large numbers trying to reach the Unites States. The location of migrant deaths will likely shift with Trump administration policies and they may become even less visible.
Perspectives
This paper introduces a "special edition" of papers which offer original research on migrant crossing deaths in every US state along the US-Mexico border. Most of the authors of the "special edition" are medico-legal professionals, anthropologists, and humanitarians who investigate and seek to reduce migrant deaths.
