What is it about?

The effectiveness with which training is transferred primarily depends on the motivation to transfer. Hence, this study conducted on motivational factors that induce transfer of training banking sector of Bangladesh. It identified that the effectiveness with which training is transferred primarily depends on the motivation to transfer which are concerned with self-efficacy, supervisory support and opportunity to perform in the banking industry of Bangladesh.

Why is it important?

Training and development activities in the banking sector of Bangladesh are quite extensive due to the compliance requirements for the central bank and other banks. These training programs focus not only on increasing knowledge but also on transferring that knowledge to the job. If the training is transferred to work the performance of the employee and the company will be enhanced. Hence, the transfer motivation is a very important issue in this industry.

Perspectives

This paper is on transfer of training which is a burning issue in the banking industry of Bangladesh. This issue is hardly addressed by the training institutes of the banks of Bangladesh.
