What is it about?

Analyses of heat transfer through an exhaust valve during the cycle of an internal combustion engine allow obtaining maps of temperature and revealing the locations of maximum in the exhaust valve.

Why is it important?

The bulk of this work is the determination of HTC and the adiabatic wall temperature for each zone of exhaust valve

Perspectives

Since the present model includes the real conditions surrounding exhaust valve, the validation of the simulations requires experimental data for comparison which is not easy to carry out but are planned in the future.
