What is it about?
We argue for a distinction between corrective feedback and the sociocultural concept of mediation. Specifically, we showed how the latter yields insights into learner abilities which can otherwise remain obscure and promote these same abilities. However, our goal was rather to sketch directions for collaboration between researchers working in the fields of L2 corrective feedback and mediation.
