This study examined how young adults subjectively view the concept of "sacred" in their lives in Finland today.

Why is it important?

It tells about the cultural interpretations of what the sacred means and integrates the concept in the theory of young adulthood as a life course phase and in the sociology of youth.

Perspectives

This study uses an extensive representative questionnaire data set which I was responsible for analyzing and for discussing the results in view of youth research.
