What is it about?

How different were conditions experienced by reefs on the inshore Great Barrier Reef during the mid-Holocene (about 6,000 years ago) to the conditions it experiences today? We investigate sea-surface temperature and salinity records obtained from a fossil coral to look at the evidence for large flood events occurring during this time.
