What is it about?
We tested a variety of blends of gasolines with ethanol and gasolines with methanol in 5 different engines at a variety of loads and speeds. The efficiency and emissions were measured and all found to be promising for these types of fuels.

Why is it important?
Ethanol and methanol add low CO2 pathways to liquid fuelled engines. This work shows that this is possible and there are no significant barriers to this from an engines perspective.
