What is it about?

In this paper, an emerging nursing practice, the Relational Inquiry approach, has been used to guide patient care. This approach allows nurses to look beyond the obvious and identify different influencing factors that my hinder the provision of quality nursing care. This approach helps nurse choose what is best for the patient by taking into consideration patients' choices.

Why is it important?

Working in contemporary nursing environments is challenging because of the theory practice gap and complex nursing situations. The Relational Inquiry approach enables bridging the gap and improving the provided care.

Perspectives

This case study served as the foundation in for helping me become a relational nurse. I encourage other nurses to use this exemplar and further enhance the quality of patient care.
