What is it about?

This publication presents the evidence from thousands of patients how the risk for future dental decay can be assessed and how this can be used to manage the disease with chemical therapeutic measures. This therapy controls the bacteria and enhances natural tooth repair.

Why is it important?

Millins of people are afflicted by cavities in teeth every year. Drilling and filling does not fix the disease. Dental decay continues unless the bacteria are controlled and the partially decayed teeth are repaired chemically to make them more resistant to future decay.

Perspectives

Improved clinical outcomes in thousands of patients over more than 12 years have been summarized in this publication to show how the disease of dental caries (tooth decay) can be controlled and reversed by chemical therapy, tailored according to the patient's individual risk for future decay.
