Most of the past studies on corporate finance focus on firm’s performance, corporate financing and capital structure while the role of corporate firms towards the society and to the developmental process comparatively is less explored area of research. This study provides inputs to the existing policies on CSR which aims to affect the capital structure and firms strategy of the Indian companies.

This study aims to fetch much needed research intervention in CSR and bring better policy prescriptions and identify the flaws in the recent law implemented on CSR (CSR Act, 2013) in India.
