What is it about?
A review of the major trials that studied the use of Tocilizumab in the treatment of COVID-19. We highlight the strengths and limitations of each trial and the conclusions drawn from the evidence.

Why is it important?
The results obtained by a study is only as significant as the quality of the study. It is very important to be able to critically appraise a study before relying on its conclusions.
Perspectives
These trials showed how relatively safe Tocilizumab is and how it is efficient in the treatment of COVID-19 in combination with steroids. The trials that showed this benefit were using steroids as part of their treatment regimen after they had been shown to decrease mortality. This was a great way to delve deep into statistics and critical analysis of different studies.
