Chinese Universities Mobilise FDI and DDI for the City’s Innovativeness in the ICT Sector

What is it about?

The development of ICT, FDI and universities in the city contributes to the socio-economic wellbeing of the city. We explored whether universities in the city mobilise foreign direct investment to Chinese cities. We find that the more the universities there are in the city, the more the innovative city it becomes. We made theoretical contribution to the institutional perspective, and we made policy related recommendations for for managers.
