What is it about?

This article is a part of the qualitative research entitled "The Acting Process of Thai Actors" (Praditthaen 2020). Why is it important?

This article explores the results of interviews with 26 Thai actors (who were active from 1997 to 2017) on their approaches to character development, the acting process, acting techniques, and various case studies from their performing careers. For anyone with an interest in acting or related performance concerns, these case studies ought to be instructive and inspirational.

Perspectives

In order to help my students learn and understand acting better, I decided to write this article because I'm interested in how successful actors work and how to maintain a lifelong career in acting. The performing arts industry is currently expanding in Thailand, which is driving up a high demand for professional actors. As a result, professional acting is becoming more competitive. Actors must always improve in order to fulfill requirements and seize employment opportunities. I hope the direct experiences of all 26 performers will be useful to readers and that this article portrays an overview of what it is like to work as an actor in Thailand performing arts industry. Please do not hesitate to share any additional recommendations you may have with me. I appreciate every reader.
