What is it about?
How we think about food has everything to do with our politics of immigration. Ruth was received by Boaz with bread and wine. In this biblical passage, the church can learn a pattern for receiving the foreigner in its midst. If the earth and its fullness belong to the Lord, then the church can learn to receive the foreigner eucharistically.
