What is it about?
This article looks at the ways that religious narratives developed and evolved into a conversation about the heritage of the city of Mysore. Through this process, stories of gods and goddesses were fully incorporated into the local vision of the city's and region's history and were effective in curbing the environmental degradation of Chamundi Hill.
