Vein harvesting can be achieved using a keyhole method (endoscopic vein harvesting), with lower scarring and reduced risk of infection, but its outcomes have been questioned in the past. We show that the veins obtained using this method have no greater injury and result in similar clinical outcomes to those obtained by the traditional method. Endoscopic vein harvesting can be safely used in a large number of suitable patients.
