What is it about?
The nuclear receptor Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor is an important nuclear receptor in cells that plays a pivotal role in regulating fat metabolism and immune system. In this experiment we have attempted to activate such receptor to improve the immune system of the goats and the production of milk fat.

Why is it important?
High producing dairy cows are known to have a weak immune system and fat in milk is the most valuable components; thus, the possibility of improving the immune system and increase the production of fat in milk are very attractive and important for the dairy industry
