Why is it important?
VietMedKG is important because it digitally preserves and structures Traditional Vietnamese Medicine (TVM), a rich but under-documented medical system. It enables AI-driven applications like question answering and decision support, bridging cultural heritage with modern healthcare and research.
Perspectives
Traditional Vietnamese Medicine (TVM) embodies centuries of indigenous knowledge, yet it lacks the digital infrastructure needed for modern AI applications. This work is my effort to preserve and elevate TVM by building VietMedKG, the first structured knowledge graph for this field. I believe that connecting cultural heritage with cutting-edge AI not only honors our past but also opens new possibilities for healthcare innovation and biomedical research in Vietnam and beyond.
