What is it about?
ShapeCreator Mobile allows teachers without access to a computer lab to assign coding homework children can do on a borrowed smartphone, only needing an internet connection to download the app (webpage) and to submit their homework via email.

Why is it important?
Over half the world's children do not have computers in their schools, so they have no on-ramp to the connected world.
Perspectives
In our first informal test, children loved ShapeCreator Mobile, perhaps too much, because parents contacted the hosting schools to complain about mobile phone use by their children. Educational technology deployment is a balancing act involving many stakeholder groups, and often surprises!
