What is it about?

Video games have used punctuation marks for all types of things in the worlds they represent. From magic potions to questions to incomplete or new info, how they are used is far more robust than a simple punctuation mark. We bring the reader through this history starting with the earliest video games to the present. Along the way, we remark on how designers might find them useful in their own designs.
