What is it about?
In this study, we explored how people perceive the positions of virtual sounds in mobile audio augmented reality. Using iPads and AirPods Pro, we tested different tracking methods for user movement and head orientation. Surprisingly, we found that users preferred stable tracking methods over highly accurate but less stable ones. This insight can help improve the experience of mobile audio augmented reality.
