What is it about?

Despite the increasing number of diagnosis apps available, it is still difficult to make different solutions work together seamlessly. This paper explores how to use standards like HL7 FHIR to integrate data generated by diagnosis apps into general e-health platforms. Panoramix is a series of games designed to identify elderly adults who are at risk of developing cognitive impairment. We discuss how Panoramix data can be integrated using FHIR in the context of the Gatekeeper project, which is intended to make it easier to develop and integrate e-health apps and devices in Europe.

Why is it important?

Storing and managing data in standardized formats makes them more accessible and easy to understand.

Perspectives

Working in this project was very rewarding, as allowed me to address the challenge of organizing unstructured data captured from seniors interacting with video games to make it accessible to be studied from different perspectives.
