What is it about?

Augmented Reality is a growing field, but universities have so far not agreed on a teaching curriculum. In this publication, we remedy this situation and propose a skills framework (with 12 groups) and two model lesson plans for a foundation and an advanced course.

Why is it important?

The appreciation of degrees is lower if the same degree programme from two universities has entirely different content and skills covered. This work allows universities to align education for Augmented Reality software engineers to a common standard that the software industry can rely on and that is cutting edge with sought-after skills.

Perspectives

This publication documents the work of an international computer science education working group with luminaries of the field.
