What is it about?
This paper is about the development of three chatbot prototypes which serve as moderators in a group chat in order to increase emotional management capacities of the team members. Group chat is challenging the communication in teams. The chatbots counteract this through emotional-sensitive behavior. Through a group experiment the paper showed that the chatbots increased emotional awareness and regulation as well as compromise facilitation.

Why is it important?
The paper is one of the first to develop and assess chatbots as moderators in group chats with the focus on emotional states of the users. The designs may inform future chatbot design and help to understand emotional reactions in group chats. The results of increased emotional awareness and regulation provide promising avenues for chatbot development towards future chatbots as team members.
Perspectives
This article was a long journey and especially the different parts make it become exciting and unique for me. Beyond that, the collaboration with the co-authors was a great pleasure. I hope this article helps artificial entities like chatbots become researched more in group settings.
