What is it about?
Our system employs haptic illusion to display geometrical shapes and textures simultaneously on a touchscreen. For displaying geometrical shapes we use lateral force, and for displaying texture information we use high frequency direction-controlled vibration.

Why is it important?
Feeling large bumps and precise textures on a touchscreen enables us to recognize the displayed object more intuitively with haptics. Thus the system can give the information of the displayed object not only the sighted people but the visually impaired.
