What is it about?

We have integrated optimization tools into a nation-scale standardization process for the new French keyboard. The 3-year process taught us that computational tools need to be designed from a participatory perspective. They are not just used to solve a well-defined problem but also to learn about it, to make refinements, to consider multiple perspectives, and to respect the different needs and roles of stakeholders.
