Mammalian viruses also defy host defense as they encode proteins, named RNAi- suppressors, to overcome host defense that is mediated by RNAi-factors. In this article, we showed that one of virus encoded proteins, namely NS4B, can play such a role. These proteins are pathogenic factors by definition and hence a strong anti-viral strategy could be built by down regulating this protein.
