What is it about?

This is first paper about how the light field cameras can be converted to good wavefront sensors. With simulation results, we show that rich information about the phase and amplitude information of a laser beam can be revealed by a light field camera with proper hardware modifications.

Chensheng Wu is currently working as a postdoctoral research associate in University of Maryland College Park. Dr. Wu has successfully modified the light field cameras into a wavefront sensor (the plenoptic sensor) that can be used to solve coherent wave detection problems.
