Why is it important?
Studies of the safety climate analyse the transformational and resonant leadership approaches. However, there are no studies in the literature that analyse the relationships between safety climate and authentic leadership in the nursing and health care context. The results of this study are therefore expected to contribute to the international leadership and patient safety literature. This study is also important because it provides data and guidance for health care administrators.
Perspectives
It has been suggested and emphasised that authentic leadership should be used as a guidance to ensure quality care and the safety of patients and health-care personnel.
