What is it about?

We found evidence of sexual conflict (a sort of battle between the sexes where males cause harm to females for their own benefit and vice versa) in multiple populations of a hermaphrodite (containing both sexes within a single individual) plant. We also found that the strength of the conflict (how costly it was) differed between populations from all over California.
