What is it about?

Today, changing the poor prognosis of tooth with periodontal tissue loss is possible with various approaches. We have shown for the first time that protecting the natural gingival architecture can enhance the early wound healing process which affects whole process of tissue regeneration.

Why is it important?

Previously defined surgical techniques create a wound over the biomaterials. We decided to change the incision line, to the relatively safe area. This is unique for periodontal tissue regeneration. All of the implanted biomaterials were fully protected with this approach.

Perspectives

I assume that this novel approach will change the attitude of the clinicians who had surgical failures in periodontal regeneration due to technique-related issues. Besides all, I truly hope you find this article mind blowing.
