Why is it important?

People with intellectual disabilities and professionals don't have the same opinions about the role of the professionals when they help people to live more independently. Listening the voices of people that receives support is important to understand what are the support they value.

Perspectives

It was a pleasure working in this research because having the opportunity to listen to the voices of people help you as a researcher to understand the challenges of giving and receiving support. It is important to know about both perspectives to have a more global comprenension of such challenges.
