In this publication we tried to assess the prevalence of apical periodontitis and the relationship with root filled teeth in a Belgian subpopulation. Cone-Beam CT was used to evaluate the teeth of the studied population.

This article learns that apical periodontitis is a major health problem. Infections are very prevalent. The quality of the root filling had a significant impact on apical periodontitis.
