Why is it important?
It offers results regarding the perceptions of mothers concerning the weight status of their children by BMI categories (underweight, normal weight, overweight and obese) and gender. From these findings, three typologies concerning the perceptions of the body weight of children were constructed: overestimating (OVR), underestimating (UND) and appropriate perception (AP).
