What is it about?

Prodiplosis longifila is an important pest of some Solanaceae. Through this research we determine whether populations of P. longifila plaguing tomato crops are different due to geographic barriers (such as the Andes Mountains in South America).

Why is it important?

We found that geographical barriers may not work on the genetic structure of the population, even in species with ranges shorter dispersion.
