What is it about?
Migraine is a prevalent neurological condition involving the neuropeptide CGRP. To test CGRP actions, we generated transgenic mice with an overexpressed human receptor subunit. Cell cultures revealed increased CGRP signaling and a partially humanized phenotype that suggests involvement of a non-canonical CGRP receptor on vascular smooth muscle and neurons.
