Why is it important?
Mobile-supported learning is a growing phenomenon in education and particularly in language learning. Little is known about research studies involving collaboration between learners in their language learning efforts, so to fill this gap, the authors of this paper have identified all those studies and highlighted their key findings.
Perspectives
Language learning can be a lonely and frustrating activity for many people. As a long-time educator and researcher I have often observed the benefits of collaboration between learners, which can help them stay motivated and provide more opportunities for interaction and feedback. I was therefore keen to look at studies that had focused on collaboration, to see what we could learn from these studies.
