IGF1 is involved in testicular differentiation and function

What is it about?

We reviewed all the available data concerning the role of IGF1 and IGF1R in testicular differentiation and in Sertoli cell's proliferation among species. We found that it dyplays a relevant function both in non-mammalian and in mammalian species. This let hypothesize that the same mechanims already described in animals may occur also in humans.
