What is it about?
Plasmids are autonomously replicating DNA molecules that mediate the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes. Here we describe the molecular characterisation of a novel conjugation protein required for the transfer a common type of antibiotic resistance plasmid between multiple Gram-negative bacterial pathogens.
