What is it about?

As the human population continues to grow, the number of vehicles in the cities continues to grow. Coupled with an increasing demand for lands for buildings, industry, housing, and agriculture. This leaves very little space for parking spots in the cities. This, in turn, resulted in massive jams, drivers stuck in parking lots looking for a spot to park, in turn resulting in wasted invaluable accumulated man-hours and productivity. This paper discusses the design and implementation of automated parking systems.

Why is it important?

The outcome of this paper helps to develop an automated parking system, one that can utilize the available limited space, reduce lost man-hours, and provide an environmentally friendly solution to the parking-lot jams
