Why is it important?

People with dementia are at risk of spending too much time indoors often resulting in unnecessary decline. There is a growing evidence base for nature based interventions being 'good for us' with encouraging and exciting evidence about what regular outdoor activity and nature connection could mean for dementia risk reduction and living better with dementia.

Perspectives

Personally, I feel our approach to risk in the context of dementia needs re-balancing to ensure we adequately and comprehensively consider benefits too.
