Why is it important?
The diffusion of ISO 14001 in a service-based economy follows a logistic-growth function (as reported by To et al., 2014 article entitled "diffusion of ISO 14001 environmental management system: global, regional and country-level analyses"). Interviews with management representatives revealed that top management commitment and employee training are critical factors for achieving success in implementing ISO 14001.
