Resolving the problem of Research Data Management

What is it about?

There is general agreement that the data created by researchers needs to be looked after better. It's often cost a lot of money to produce and could be useful to future researchers. So research organisations like universities are establishing services to support researchers manage their data better. This paper considers how complex the challenge of supporting research data management really is, using the concept of a "wicked problem". Wicked problems are non-standard problems that are very complex and hard to solve. Is RDM a wicked problem?
