What is it about?
Agency theory is used to create a generalized theory of ecology. It reflects on the historical development of ecological research and then sets it up within an agency context. The paper is in two parts. The first part considers some basics that relate to ecology and its development as a general theory, and the second part considers more pragmatic contexts.
