What is it about?

The article is about how to develop product manufacturers into service providers. As long as such firms still have physical products at tehcore of their offerings, they cannot become service firms. However, they can become service providers. Providing service means that you provide help to the customers' work or life processes. The article develops an understanding of service as the outcome of the use of products and services in the form of help. Servification demonstrates how, by adopting service logic, organizations can develop their strategies and resources and processes to create offerings that facilitates valuable service outcomes.
