What is it about?

This study examines the integration of Venezuelan refugee women into Colombia’s informal service economy, highlighting how labor precarity, structural barriers, and employer biases limit their transition into formal employment. By applying Transformative Service Research (TSR), the study underscores the urgent need for policy reforms, skill recognition programs, and equitable labor protections to enhance the quality of service work and create sustainable economic opportunities for refugee women.
