Antecedents of sustainable generative AI use among HEIs employees: examining net benefits through the lens of IS success and innovativeness

What is it about?

This study identifies why UK university staff continue using GenAI applications and how this improves their productivity, competence, and decisions. Surveying 242 employees, it found sustained GenAI use depends on GenAI quality, user satisfaction. Long-term use led to measurable work benefits. By adding “innovativeness” to a established IS sucess model, the research offers universities actionable strategies to support staff with GenAI integration while prmoting the SDGs.
